While BS 5839-1 traditionally governs physical, electrical fire detection and alarm systems in buildings, FireVision acts as a critical Supplementary Visual Verification System.
FireVision is an Advanced Visual Verification Layer designed to work alongside your existing BAFE-certified traditional fire panels. Because we are not replacing your primary certified smoke detectors, a BAFE certificate is not required to install our AI cameras or VPN hubs.
However, to ensure the highest industry standards, FireVision is actively designing its quality management, software deployment, and system maintenance pipelines to meet the stringent criteria of BAFE SP203-1 (specifically under the Design and Maintenance/Support modules for automated detection technologies).
The Goal: We are preparing our operational infrastructure for independent, third-party UKAS-accredited auditing via leading security inspection bodies (such as NSI/SSAIB) to achieve full BAFE registration.
